Tipping in Northern Cyprus

Tipping is appreciated for good service, especially in restaurants, but it is not a strict obligation. Check the bill first for a service charge (often labeled servis).

In restaurants, around 5-10% is commonly appreciated when service is not already included. At bars and for taxis, a modest round-up is usually enough.

Turkish lira (TRY) is the primary currency. Leave restaurant tips in cash when you can, because card terminals rarely offer a tip line.
